🏁We’ve done it! 🏁 That’s 3/3 newcomer wins this weekend. Taking home maximum points in the newcomers championship. First ever time at Anglesey and picked up the pace straight away! Had some great battles on track over the weekend. Few things to sort out on the car with the gearbox playing up and jumping out of gear mid corner but we come away with 3 trophies 🏆 Couldn’t have asked for any more. Race 2 P7 overall and P1 Rookie✅Another great race and that’s maximum points again for the newcomers cup. Unfortunately had a bit of contact at the top corner as I went into 5th through no fault of my own but still managed to come home with 1st place rookie. P7 in Qualifying ✅Unfortunately my transponder wasn’t working so I got held back in the assembly area meaning I wasn’t in the pack for a tow. Extremely happy with P7 and 1st rookie. Only 6tenths off pole and it’s my first time here. Let’s go convert the P1 rookie in the race! After missing the first round at Kirkistown in Ireland due to finances we are making our way up the table in the newcomers cup! Knockhill round 4 ✅ Definitely a weekend of learning in tricky conditions. Friday testing was dry all day and our pace would have put us at the front. Unfortunately 20 minutes before qualifying the weather decided to take a turn. With little testing in the wet I only managed to qualify 12th. Race one was extremely tricky, halfway through the race it decided to pour down and my heater in the car wasn’t working meaning my screen steamed up and I struggled to see anything! That was definitely interesting. In the end after penalties applied I finished 7th! Race 2 looked like it was going to be dry but as soon as we went to the grid it decided to rain again typically! Still learning in the wet I finished 8th.Race 3 was again a wet race and I was definitely learning a lot in the rain. I had a moment in the gravel at the chicane which dropped me down a couple of places but I put my head down and finished 9th. Overall in the wet I was only 7 tenths off the leader, with little testing I’ve come away quite happy. I improved every race and lots of clear progress made. 5 weeks till we go to Anglesey and I can’t wait! More places to gain and hopefully come away with a few trophies! Feels great to be Back at Knockhill Racing Circuit for round 4 of the Scottish Mini Cooper cup. Second round in and I feel like I’ve made some positive progress after the highs and lows of the weekend! We decided to compete in the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup because it was going to be a challenge as several top drivers that know the track inside out have won the UK Mini Challenge aswell as the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup several times. Testing was a challenge as we were fighting power issues and in the last session we had a brake failure at 98mph. I can definitely say that was a new experience!Qualifying and race 1 unfortunately we still hadn’t found why the car would just suddenly drop power. Massive thank you to PerformanceTek Racing LTD who changed my fuel pump and that fixed it! Race 2 was my best race this year coming from 16th to 6th and getting top Rookie. I started 3rd in the 3rd race with the reverse grid and was really hoping for a podium but unfortunately I couldn’t find the same pace and finished 9th.Mega pace showed after battling car issues being the 3rd quickest on track!Can’t wait for the next round in 5 weeks. A lot of ups and downs so far today. Qualifying this morning unfortunately had no power and qualified last. Race one I was still down on power and only managed to finish P15. A massive thank you to Performance Tek Racing who fitted a new fuel pump in between Race 1 and 2 and we’ve just managed P15 to P6 and 1st Rookie. Now onto race 3 at 17:00 where we will start 3rd with the reverse grid.
