Has anybody ever tried adult diapers instead of the mesh panties and pads postpartum? I’ve heard it’s more comfortable and less of a mess, but never tried it. Any thoughts?

I like diapers. Pads are annoying and always get off centered and blood leaks for me. There was another post on here about this a while back that got a lot of feedback if you search it in the group

I prefer the discreet diapers :) I don't leak with them, easy to change, etc. However, I will be having my 5th C-Section so, it may be different with regular labor!

The nurse at the hospital recommended diapers! (I go for weekly NST at the hospital so I ask while there!)

Diapers. The always discreet ones aren’t terrible. Obviously it feels weird to be a grown adult in a diaper, but they’re decently “low profile” lol. With my first, I didn’t use diapers. The pads moved around, didn’t soak up as much blood and I didn’t feel very secure throughout the night while trying to sleep. I think my first night home I got blood all over our sheets lol. So on top of being brand new parents trying to navigate feeding/baby waking up and me recovering from a c-section, my husband was all over the place changing sheets and comforting the baby and helping me get cleaned up. It kinda felt overwhelming.
I don’t wear diapers for more than a week, though. Once the bleeding slows down I switch to pads.

Pads. Different sizes. Diapers aren’t practical for me unless I plan on taking my pants off every time I need to change. Not happening here. Esp with a C-section.

I like the diapers! So much easier to change and less leaks. The name brand ones tend to be kind of pricey, but I found the Amazon brand ones to work great and be much more cost effective

Team pads as well! It’s so cold where I’m at, I won’t be wearing dresses. And with two toddlers to look after, pads are just so much more practical and easy to change.
